Ryan Crews, MS
Clinical Research Scientist
Center for Lower Extremity Ambulatory Research (CLEAR)
Ryan Crews' research experience originated while obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree at Truman State University. While at Truman he served as the head of the psychology department’s student research team and was an All American Scholar. Ryan proceeded to earn an internship within NASA’s Exercise Physiology Research Laboratory in Houston, Texas. While at NASA, he worked with numerous renowned scientists in researching means to assess and improve the health of NASA’s astronaut corps. Ryan went on to pursue a Master of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. His focus was in the field of exercise science. He served the exercise science department as both a teaching and research assistant, working with multiple NIH (in addition to other sources) funded faculty members. To support his thesis research, he was awarded the NASA Space Physiology Research Grant by the American College of Sports Medicine.
Ryan Crews serves as a clinical research scientist at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine’s Center for Lower Extremity Ambulatory Research (CLEAR) at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Since joining CLEAR in 2004, Ryan has co-authored on a number of papers concerning diabetic foot care. He is also active in numerous ongoing studies at CLEAR, with a particular interest in those utilizing the center’s Gait Laboratory. In addition to the obligations of his appointment within CLEAR, Ryan lends his aid to students interested in developing research projects of their own at Scholl College.
CLEAR is an active clinical research unit of the
Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at
Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.
