Dr. Rogers is the director of the Amputation Prevention Center at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. He is an alumnus of Des Moines University; College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery where he was student-body president. He received the ABMSP “Excellence in Diabetic Foot Research Award” in 2004. Dr. Rogers completed his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery – 24 residency at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers in New York, NY. While in New York, he co-founded the Charcot Foot Surgical Reconstruction Program which concentrates on disease management and rehabilitation. He completed the CLEAR Fellowship in Diabetic Limb Preservation in 2007.
He has authored articles published in peer reviewed medical journals and lectures on diabetic foot disorders. Dr. Rogers also organizes workshops for training other surgeons how to perform Charcot foot reconstruction utilizing external fixation.
Dr. Rogers’s is currently conducting research in collaboration with the CLEAR-Chicago site. His research interests include Charcot foot, stem cell therapy, and diabetic foot infections.
CLEAR is an active clinical research unit of the
Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at
Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.
