Nancy Slone is a Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in wound care at Scholl’s Center for Lower Extremity Research (CLEAR).  Nancy graduated with distinction from North Park University, Chicago (2006) with a Masters in Nursing.  Her undergraduate degrees were from the University of Wisconsin and Purdue University.  She is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, as well as a board certified Wound / Ostomy nurse (CWON)  since 2001.   Prior to 2001, her focus was Critical Care, Cardiology and Emergency Room Nursing.  She was a Certified Critical Care Nurse for over 20 years, and is currently a member of the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses and Christian Nurses Fellowship.  She is a past member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society, Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nurses, and American Association of Critical Care Nursing.  


Nancy has experience in a variety of areas including hospital acute care, long term care, home health, outpatient clinic, and clinics for the medically underserved.  She has multiple years as a health care educator and lecturer.  As a nurse practitioner, her role at CLEAR focuses on prevention and wellness, multidisciplinary approach, and knowledge of advanced wound healing techniques and strategies.
