Dr. Wu is Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, and Director of the Limb Preservation Center at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. She earned a Masters Degree in Biomedical Science and Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) at the Barry University School of Graduate Medical Sciences in Miami Shores, Florida. Dr. Wu graduated from the INOVA Fairfax Hospital Podiatric Residency Program where she received extensive training in all aspects of the foot and ankle including Lower Extremity Reconstruction and Diabetic Limb Salvage at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. Upon graduation, she bacame a Fellow at the Center for Lower Extremity Ambulatory Research (CLEAR) at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She will be conducting a Postdoctoral Fellowship with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) at Rosalind Franklin University.
Dr Wu is the chair and co-founder of several professional organizations and committees at Rosalind Franklin University; including the Swanson Foundation Independent Student Scholar Committee, Greater Chicagoland Podiatric Residencies Grand Rounds Series, Practice Management Workshop, and is a member of numerous committees including the Academic Assembly, Summer Research Fellowship Program, as well as Research, Admissions, and Clinical Advisory Committees. In addition, she is a member of APMA, ADA, the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), and the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association.
Her areas of research include assessing risk factors for lower extremity complications in patients suffering from diabetes mellitus, as well as diagnosing and preventing those complications, managing them, and treating them in a variety of manners, including surgery. She is currently serving as an investigator in four research projects in those areas. Dr Wu is a reviewer for Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, Ostomy/Wound Management, Diabetic Medicine, Diabetes Care, Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism, Therapy, The Journal for Diabetes and its Complications, Foot and Ankle Quarterly, and Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice.
She has published more than 50 papers, abstracts, posters, and book chapters, and has given more than 75 presentations and lectures.

Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.
